Exporting a table
Most report tables have an export button in the top right, offering CSV and XLSX. XLSX files are generated on the server, up to 50,000 rows at a time.
The export contains what you're looking at: the current date range, comparison and filters all apply. Check the header before exporting.
Bulk exports
For more than 50,000 rows, or raw event detail, use Product analytics › Data management › Data export. The export runs in the background and you download it when it's ready.
If your plan is about to end and you plan to pause for a while, export anything you need to keep during the 30-day grace period.
Sharing reports with someone
Where: the Public sharing tab under Configuration › Settings. Only the owner and admins can change sharing.
Create a read-only link that works without an account. You can set:
- A password — optional, recommended for anyone outside your company.
- Which modules are open — overview, pages, sources, audience, bots. Only the ticked ones are visible.
- The longest range they can view — for example the last 30 days only.
People with the link can't see:
- The session list or individual visitors — those aren't among the shareable modules.
- Unticked modules, or the filter dimensions that belong to them. Editing the link's parameters won't open data you didn't share.
- Any settings. The shared page is read-only; goals and filter definitions can't be changed.
On VIP 1 and above you can remove our branding from the shared page — handy for agencies reporting to clients.
Sharing a data report by URL
To show one data report to a colleague, you can simply copy the browser address: the selected columns, dates and filters are in the URL. They need to be a project member to open it.
Stopping a share
Switch sharing off on the same tab and the old link stops working at once. If you're worried the link has travelled, switch it off and generate a new one.
