B2B SaaS

Lots of trials, few paying accounts? Find the step that decides it.

Follow every account from sign-up through onboarding, feature adoption and the first invoice — and see which behaviour in week one predicts who pays.

  • Activation and trial funnels
  • Accounts, not just users
  • MRR, expansion and churn
Where growth leaks

Where SaaS growth leaks

01

Trials that never activate

People sign up, look around and leave. Without an activation funnel, you can’t tell which onboarding step loses them.

02

Users, not accounts

Buying decisions happen at the account level, but most analytics only counts individual users.

03

Churn shows up too late

By the time a cancellation lands, the account went quiet weeks ago.

Three questions every SaaS team answers here

Each one runs on the B2B SaaS template events.

01

Which onboarding step loses people?

The activation funnel shows where new sign-ups stop. Watch the replays of that step and compare the users who make it with those who don’t.

  • Sign-up → onboarding → key feature
  • Replays of the dropping step
  • Segments of activated vs not
ClueHalf of new sign-ups stop at “connect your data”
02

Which accounts are healthy?

Users roll up to their company. See active users, key events and a health score per account — and spot the ones going quiet before renewal.

  • Account-level activity
  • Health score per account
  • Alerts when an account goes quiet
ClueAccounts that invite a teammate in week one convert 3× more
03

Which features keep customers?

Feature retention shows which features people come back to. Compare them with renewals to know what to build and what to promote.

  • Feature retention by week
  • Adoption across accounts
  • Product health score
ClueAccounts that use shared dashboards renew at 91%

FAQ

SaaS questions

Anything else — open the chat in the corner and ask.

Can I analyse accounts as well as users?
Yes. Send the account or workspace ID as a group and every report can be viewed per account.
Where does MRR come from?
From your subscription and payment events, sent from your billing backend. PathClue calculates new, expansion and churned MRR from them.
Can I track the web app and the marketing site together?
Yes. Both send to the same project; when users sign in, their anonymous marketing-site visits merge into their profile.
Is there a way to act on churn signals?
Build a segment such as “paying, inactive 14 days” and let an automation send a webhook to your CRM or post to your team chat.
